Reports are coming in that some people have been sent the wrong ticket, although crucially the ticket that has arrived has the same surname, meaning that fans only taking a cursory glance may not have noticed the error.
Villa will now have to go to the trouble and expense of sending out new tickets to those affected, so it's worth checking that you have received the correct one, just in case you are one of those affected by the unusual cock-up.
Best advice is to check your name, block and seat number carefully and contact the club immediately if you notice an error.
It's not known whether Villa will be offering any sort of compensation to inconvenienced customers, though the Villa Cash scheme would seem to give the opportunity to do this as would freebie tickets to the Rotherham game
