Aston Villa have dragged Aly Cissokho back from his season-long loan spell at Porto, although he can't actually play until the transfer window opens.With Jordan Amavi ruled out for the season, fans were hoping for a decent signing to bolster Villa's porous back line.
However Cissokho, who played under Villa boss Remi Garde at Lyon, hardly made a splash in Portugal making a paltry three appearances.
A regular last season under Paul Lambert, he fell out of favour when Tim Sherwood took the reins.
