Jed Steer compo agreed... could cost £1.175million

David McNally of Norwich
The Professional Compensation Committee has ruled that Aston Villa must pay a fee rising to a maximum of £1.175m for goalkeeper Jed Steer following last summer's move.

A fee of £450,000 plus VAT is payable up front, while an additional figure of up to £500,000 is payable on based upon first team appearances. The deal would be boosted by a  further £225,000 if the former England youth international breaks into the Under-21 and senior international teams.

The committee also slapped us a 20% sell-on fee payable to the Canaries should we decide to flog Jed on..

Norwich City's David McNally hissed: “We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this matter after a very fair hearing with the Professional Compensation Committee.”

Villa claim to be "very happy with the PFCC's decision".
