Missing in Action Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner is ALIVE, villamad.co.uk can report.

There have been no reported sightings of Villa's elusive chairman at Villa Park since 2012 and statements from the credit card magnate are as rare as hen's teeth.  However a story by Brian Doogan on the official Aston Villa site included a few short paragraphs which were seemingly penned by our illustrious benefactor:

"Our manager has been faced with some unexpected issues that could have very easily set the Club back.

"In watching him handle matters, along with our Chief Exec, I've seen total loyalty and commitment to Aston Villa while Gordon, a Villa man through and through, has repeatedly stepped up to support the Club regardless of the ask.

"Shay, too, has been unhesitating in answering the manager's call. I couldn't ask for more from people who are up for this challenge and the very real obstacles we have to overcome, as is everyone at the Club."

And that's all he wrote folks...

While some claim that Randy has had an extended absence from the club, Paul Lambert has hinted in the past that Randy has been in the ground in disguise and we at villamad.co.uk are suspicious that he may be lurking under Hercules's mask.
