Scott Marshall binned off

New headmaster at the helm
Villa's first team coach Scott Marshall has left the club.

The departure comes in the wake of Paul Lambert's removal and the installation of new Headmaster Tim Sherwood.

The move will give Sherwood the elbow room to appoint his own backroom boys.

Earlier in the season Assistant Manager Roy Keane decided to bugger off and was never replaced.

Randy Lerner's chief henchman, Tom Fox said of Marshall, "I'd like to thank Scott for his efforts during his time at the football club and especially under difficult circumstances at the weekend when he took the team for Sunday's FA Cup victory over Leicester City.

"We wish him all the best in the future."
