Homesick El Ahmadi could be off to Feyenoord

Feyenoord have confirmed their interest in Karim El Ahmadi with Villa apparently prepared to part with midfielder, but only for the right price. The player is in the last year of his current Villa deal and was known to be keen on a return to The Netherlands, making it clear he didn't wish to extend his spell in England.

It's thought that the two clubs are haggling over a deal, with the transfer deadline looming.

Between 2008 and 2012, 29-year-old El Ahmadi played for Feyenoord where he was highly regarded.

Despite signing Carlos Sanchez, Villa have continued to be linked with midfielders and El Ahmadi's potential departure would mean that those rumours would make some sort of sense.
