Bristol City have secured the season-long loan signing of Aston Villa's Callum Robinson.
The 20-year-old goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s Sky Bet Championship season opener at Sheffield Wednesday.
Manager Steve Cotterill said: “I’m pleased Callum has decided to join us.
“He’s the type of player we’ve been looking to bring in; someone who can play wide left in a three or in one of the striking roles.
“Callum is a young player who will bring bundles of pace and energy, similar to Ryan (Fredericks). He’s also brave and has a knack for nicking a goal.
“I’m delighted we’ve been able to secure the signing of two young players in Ryan and Callum in time for the first game of the season and wish them luck for the campaign ahead.”

A regular England youth international, Northampton-born Robinson came through Villa’s Academy setup.
Robinson has made five appearances for the Villa first team to date, all as a substitute.
Last season he spent the campaign with Preston North End, making 28 appearances and scoring seven times in their promotion-winning campaign.
