5 bullet points from Bristol

  • It may be a marathon, not a Snickers, but every journey starts with a first step. Our journey always seems to comprise of several backward steps. We collapsed yesterday, just at a point where we thought we were turning a corner. It hurt.
  • Point is, we should have, could have had all three points wrapped up by half-time. A big issue was Jordan Ayew, who needs to appreciate it's a team game rather than going for glory. If he can't stop being a greedy fucker, there's no way he should be in the side.
  • Some say it's being harsh on Gollini, but he could have done better with the first City goal (after which we crumbled completely). Trouble is, he cost us points at Sheffield and in the Huddersfield match so he's rapidly using up his goodwill.
  • Some hailed the signing of Mile Jedinak as the arrival of the new Messiah. Many more performances like that one and he'll get crucified. First impressions stick and that wasn't a great one. Needs to sort himself out for the Forest game. Hopefully, he'll look better when Tsh returns to the team.
  • It's easy to say "be patient" and "give the team time to gel". It's much harder to actually do.
