The midfielder signed a three-year deal after watching Villa’s 1-1 draw with Huddersfield. The influential Aussie had lost the captaincy at Palace after four seasons to Scott Dann.
Jedinak becomes Villa’s sixth signing of the summer but will not be available until all the paperwork is boxed off.
The 32-year-old made 179 appearances for Palace and scored 10 goals after joining from the Turkish side Genclerbirligi in 2011.
His last appearance in a Palace shirt came in the 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich on the opening day of the Premier League last weekend.
