Aston Villa have completed the signing of the Cordoba defender José Ángel Crespo.The 28-year-old has signed a three-year deal at Villa Park and joins for the typical Villa undisclosed fee.
Crespo is Tim Sherwood’s third defensive signing of the summer – joining Micah Richards and Jordan Amavi in a new look back line – after completing a medical.

“He is an experienced player who has played in La Liga and Serie A, two of the strongest leagues in Europe, and from speaking to him I know he can’t wait to play for Aston Villa.”
A former Spain Under-21 international, José has played for Sevilla and Racing Santander and played in Italy with Padova, Bologna and Verona.
